芭蕉に思いをはせて・・快眠へ

外は日中より少し涼しくなり、
そしてなんとセミが鳴いている。
夏の雰囲気。

"Cicada"というレストランはいくつかあるみたいで、
ここは広尾の近くらしい。

そういえば自分が生活していたとき、
マンハッタンにもあったなと思って調べてみたら
つぶれているっぽい。

なくなる店、新しい店、
ニューヨークではごくごくこれが普通に繰り返されている。。

ちなみに、普段セミは誰もがcicadaというけれど、
locustという耳慣れない言葉もある。
（セミというよりもバッタ、イナゴ）
ただ、耳慣れている人が一部いて、
その人はヨガをやっている人です。
そう、「バッタのポーズ」！
私もバッタの一人。

寝る前のバッタは快眠を約束してくるはずです。

Seems like Tokyo skipped spring and now
is getting into this good night summer swing.
Surprised I already hear cicada!

I know a few restaurants named Cicada, and
one of them is this one in Hiroo.

Another one I recall must have been in Manhattan,
but looks like it is already gone..
No result coming up. :(
Old places gone and new places come,
this is how it goes in NYC.

You know that most people say "cicada", by the way,
and only a few say "locust"?
These limited people (me included) are
familiar with the word because they do the locust pose,
one of yoga asanas.

Locust before bedtime promises you a good sleep! :-)
